There's a fair number of English (and Welsh) vineyards. I'm unaware of any Scottish or Irish ones.
UK wine tends towards the Germanic style, which seems fair, given we're about as Northerly as bits of Germany. Parts of the South Downs share a common geology with Champagne, and so UK fizz is not uncommon either. You're really pushing your luck growing a red wine here, although it can be done in warmer years.
Really, though, we're more suited to making beer![]()
