OOH! OOH! Did I mention that Chanelle laid her very first egg this morning?

To use the words of Mrs T... "we are a grandmother!"

I fear Waffles, that your ladies are getting chavvier and chavvier names... ;)

Well done Chanelle!

Just back from the Big G sportive - 100km, in 6 and a half hours. Sun, rain and wind, and hills. And pie afterwards. And two cups of tea that didn't touch the sides and another beside me now, going down more slowly.

Good god - while I was out, York had a riot!

It's always the same. I missed the bolting carriage horse a couple of weeks ago that must have galloped past the end of my road...

I was half way up Nunburnholme (the worst hill) when some came past and said "Allez allez!" I was too out of breath to reply, and it was a few seconds before I registered the CC top and realised it was Craigwend.....

Did someone say something? ;)

Bad luck Waffles - I tend to forget I have sound on my laptop, and then I'm surprised when I go into Chat. (It's too slow and old to run youtube properly, so I rarely go there...)

I've just been out and bought Oli's birthday present - by request, a doctor's set from the Early Learning Centre.

I hope he doesn't try and banadage Max too much!

I spent the afternoon watching the Mystery Plays - very good they were. Each scene, acted under the name of a different guild happens on a wagon, with fold out scenery of varying levels of complexity, and is accompanied by Medieval music - real sackbuts and so on. Am Dram, so there are some better actors and some not so better, but it's all jolly good fun, and being medieval there's a fair dollop of bawdy humour and knockabout comedy in there.

The crucifiction and last judgement were especially good.

Do you discuss tea in this place?

I got some new tea bought today, as a present from some friends,

'Happiness Tea' - looks like something you'd buy of a doddgy dealer (I imagine) at a music festival  looks like it has lots of rosemary in, which is my fave herb but...

Mind you they did bring me some fantastic black tea from new Zealand from the highest plantation in the world

Perhaps i could always smoke it?

We do discuss Tea from time to time, often in conjunction with cake.
I was blissfully unaware that Tea was grown in A Land Down Under, but you learn sommat new everyday. Is it any good?
I have had many fine mugs of Tea this weekend in Wales, some accompanied by a bacon roll (yesterday morning) or a big slab of cake and a few goes on a toboggan (yesterday afternoon). They were on a bike ride (as is correct), and this ride was further enhanced by the wind being mainly in the correct blowing-in-direction-of-travel orientation.
Trains are my friend, in this respect

Morning tea peeps!

*Serves large pot of tea and tray of bacon sarnies*

Its a local public holiday here today and true to form it is :rain: Late breakfast for me and going to try and get out for a ride later. I haven't been out on my bike this month yet so if I can even manage a few miles it will be a bonus. Anyone following le tour?

Following the Tour? Not really

Watching it most afternoons, well, make that every afternoon that includes mountains, and recording those that I do not watch. Oh and I have a team in the Fantasy NrToone league, which is currently fifth, was second at one stage.
