Err no - she just doesn't understand Tea  . If she makes a cup the Boiling hot water gets to the Tea pot Ok but she thinks that walking it past the Tea caddy will give it enough flavour.

And before you ask - I only learned this after we got married

And it was too late for an annullment? Shame...

I venture to suggest that it is Mrs 26by25 who has been doing the teaching. She has taught you, very successfully, it would appear, that if you would like a cup of tea, make it yourself, Mr 26by25. And while you are doing so, you can make one for her.

Bloody vandals. The RAF & then Royal Navy, that is.

On BBC's 'Coast' programme the most recent one was about Denmark, and included a section on Heligoland. Just before the end of WWII, the RAF launched a thousand plane bombing raid on Heligoland (1.7km2) and obliterated most of the surface of the isalnd. Then after the war ended , the Royal Navy carried out the then world's biggest non-nuclear explosion in an attempt to effectively wipe the island off the face of the earth. Bloody vandals, that was my ancestral homeland I'll have them know! Harrumph!!

Safe to say that the island used to be a bit bigger than it is now...

Hmmmph - Speicher you old fraud you . No Mrs 26x25 isn't that cunning (or is she  ). No she just doesn't do beverages. When I first knew her she only drank water  . So she never learned the art. I do tend to make all the brews in this house (amongst many other things I'll have you know). It's just when she goes shopping and brings back some T she thinks she's "helping". From my perspective that's "helping" in the toddler sense you understand.........

oi less of the "old" thank you.

I have been in the garage. The purpose of this was to see if there are suitable materials for building a boat. If this wet stuff keeps falling from the sky, I will need a boat.

Ah - I'll post it to you. Then you can post me some of the subsequent Tea Bread

Lucky you - no rain. And Yorkshire isn't grim is it? Well there may be patches I suppose. I've been watching the rain radar on and off today and we are getting basically a rejuvenating drizzle cloud. That is it's all moving east but just here the cloud is continually reforming just over my neck of the woods. 25 miles in any direction and it'll be OK I think.

Never mind - I've trued up Mrs 26x25's front wheel (she hit a pothole or something) and sorted out #2 daughter's bike for uni. And I've dismantled my track pump to see why it's not working properly. Looks like the spring on the non return valve has rusted away. I'll need to surf the inter webby thing for a replacement. No way will Halfrauds want to supply spare parts. I tried when I wanted a new hose.

And both daughters want wedges . No you misunderstand - for their doors (at Uni) so I have been fashioning some from carefully selected bits of wood salvaged from and old kitchen. Couldn't finish the job cos my sander has gone walk about

Ah well time for Tea - cuppa anyone?
