Ooh is there tea going? Just back from visiting family and have had a lovely Chicken dinner followed by homemade sponge cake and custard.

Right, I think I'll log off and wash up and make some tea and knit. My friend needs lots of small stuff for the stall. I have a pattern for an iPhone holder I want to try.

Sounds like you've all been having fun and making like proper CCers and getting out on the bikes. 82 hilly miles across the Moors is quite some achievement Arch. I struggle to walk up some of those hills!

I'm currently in a c**f** shop in San Francisco heading towards a rendezvous chez Cathryn . I cycled over the Golden Gate Bridge this morning with blue skies and sunshine:biggrin::biggrin:. I'm wondering whether the Humber Bridge would get the same number of visitors if it was painted orange...

The whole place is heaving with cyclists. All the roadies were out for runs yesterday and today. My favourite sight was the pub which had bike hooks inside on the back wall so you could hang up your carbon uberbike while partaking of a pint :becool:.

That sounds like my sort of pub!! Sadly, my carbon uberbike is currently encrusted in mud and assorted bits of field. The ride today was distinctly agricultural at times, and I suspect my saddle could grow a fine crop of winter barley.
Today went more-or-less as follows :-
Trinka, Chuffy, Baggy, tea and bacon rolls.
Ride 15 miles
Tea, sausage rolls, doughnuts, kit-kats, coke etc
Ride 15 miles, interrupted by research into bounciness of tarmac
Tea, sarnies and toasties
Ride 15 miles through a lot of muddy lanes
Tea and cake
Ride 15 miles up more hills that I really wanted to see at this stage
Tea and successful completion of ride, wave goodbye to C&B, drag Trinka back for dinner.

By this stage I had eaten approximately half a pig. So the roast lamb that awaited our return was particularly welcome, by means of a change
I now need to go and get a bath before my hair sets...

Sounds like you had a jolly good day Doc... I wish I had taken more notice of the emitremmus thread as I would have joined you all.

Damn, my a*se hurts.

I had a small spill en route.
I need to get this in before Baggy or Chuffy start rumours that I went for a ride with Doc and returned with a sore a*se.

More tea please....

Did the flask of Tea for the train fill a small and sloshy gap?

Ooh! Just remembered - the first Tea stop ran out of normal tea!!! Latecomers would have been given Earl Grey.
I wish I'd known EG was an option...
