I'm now going to make some tea, sit down gently and await the deluge of smut that will surely follow.

oh, are you having your chimney swept?

We started a new round today, and I had the 'honour' of doing the first collection (mainly because I've leafletted it, so I know where all the places are - it's in town and all little flats above shops and so on. 45 addresses in total, although we don't know how many are occupied. We'd definitely spoken to a grand total of 5 residents, all of whom were terribly keen to recycle.

So I triked into town, hoping I'd have room in the trike for all the bags I'd be picking up.

And then I triked back again, with 2 carrier bags of recycling, from 1 address.

Well, that was a profitable hour, wasn't it?

Tea anyone?

 I recycled a small teddy bear this afternoon. He was sitting looking very unhappy in a basket of much larger teddies. I am almost certain he spoke to me, telling me he needed a good home, and some marmalade sandwiches. ;)

Also found a Henning Mankell (Wallendar) book in the same charity shop.

And of course.... some peanut biskits (in the fruit and veg shop). I know that Arch has reservations about peanuts being mixed with other items so she won't want any.

Well remembered! I'm not averseto them mixed with roasting and salt though. Don't like them au naturelle....

Most nuts are better for being roasted and salted. Pecans being a prime case in point.
*scrompf*

I wonder if two pints of bitter and a bag of peanuts constitutes a well-balanced meal?

Only if you put one pint of bitter and half the peanuts on each side of the scale....

Just exactly how did you end up with cane stripes? ;)

T'is weird but true.
I have six crimson parallel stripes across the side of my a*se and an overall faint grey green bruise behind them.

It's pretty deep as it's taken three days to come thru.

I know it will sound funny but I'll try to explain what I think has gone on.

What looks like happened is that my right hand side Gluteus Maximus ruched on impact and its on these points that I sustained the most bruising.

You'll never know how much better I feel now for saying that.
