Not at all. Although I can put together a ride with cafe stops about, ooh, every 6 miles or so.
And that's before you chuck pubs into the mix.

Taking the biscuit
Alas, I am 9 days from being paid and I am forced to offer diet tips in return for teacakes.
As soon a solvency returns to Tdr1nka Towers I shall be on a train to St. Average for the spinnin' o' wheels and the scromfin' o' cake.

When I pick her up, Tasha does not purr. It is sort of yp..up.....hp.....pp.....dp...(very quietly)

Can anyone translate that?

Probably something along the lines of "put me down!"...

6 miles! 6 miles! You can't make someone cycle that far between cafes....

I'm stuck now with an image of what a teacake would look like once it had been through the postal system....

It's not pretty.

Tea? I finished early today, on account of being the one in at 8 to do the city centre run. Which was worse than last week - just one box. There was another bag of stuff out when I went past on my bike on the way in, and I almost picked it up and carried it in in my pannier, but decided I'd be back there in half an hour anyway, and when I got there with the trike, it was gone! We think the binmen might have taken it by mistake.

You could be right. She is obviously not used to being picked up. But for the purposes of taking her to the Vet, or when I want to go on jollidays, she needs to know that being picked up for a short while and being carried, is not, in fact, the end of the world. She has improved a lot over the last two years, in that she will now sit on the floor or on the sofa and allow me to stroke her soft fluffy fur.

Strangely, while she was at the Cat's home, she was fine with being picked up and handled. I am under no illusion that she chose me, rather than the other way around.
