You've obviously never seen a dog having kennel cough vaccine.
It comes as a paste that gets squelched up one nostril. Our dog *hates* it.
You can't run all that far in the average vet's consulting room, but you can create a surprising amount of chaos if you put your mind to it.

Stressful day today so I think I'll have a hot choccy myself in a minute and get an early-ish night.

My 2 are getting very fond of their cat bed lately,chucking them out at night is a job and a half now,

They try sometimes,though the girl cat gets huffy and jumps down in a sulk,she likes me all to herself

I am much better now, thank you. A day of 'real work' feels good after so much rest.
I still have a cough though, that's proving a bit hard to shift after four weeks.

I've got a dog like that. As soon as there's more than one person in bed she jumps down in a huff and curls up in her basket usually accompanied with big sighs.

Afternoon all,started the hot chocolate drinking early today,just what I fancied after a hard days work.
Has anybody else still not changed all their clocks yet,or am I just incredibly lazy?

I have changed all the clocks but not my watches.

I had to answer the door just now to a person who turned out to be cold-calling for people to "Adopt A Dog" from a nationwide dog's rehoming group. Why did he try to make me feel guilty for not saying yes, when I have two cats that came from Cats Protection League, ie were strays or not wanted. The other (two) cats that I have had also were older cats needing to be rehomed. I also support a homeless Charity for People. There is a limit to what I can do. I do not really like dogs in general. Individual dogs can be very nice, but that depends so much on their owners.

oh yes, Tea would be nice!

I've always been a cat man myself,had a dog as a kid but with us both working full time it wouldn't be fair to keep one.Cats as you know don't mind being left alone all day,and are happy to sleep seemingly 90% of the time(unless that's just my 2)

They did not arrive with a dog on a lead. It was one of those schemes where you pay an amount each month and then receive up-dates on "your" dog.

As you say, cats are quite happy on their own most of the day. Although if I am out all day, Leo then decides that is the evening that he must sit on my lap to make sure I do not go out again.

think my idea is a winner though,5 or so dogs at your doorstep all with a 'be my mummy/Daddy' sign round their necks,who could resist

What are their names?

My two cats get on very well together, but would not occupy the same bed like that. They have been known to each occupy one end of the sofa.

I am not really a dog person. This sort of weather, I would not want to be taking doggy for a walk.
