I am pleased you are feeling better, Arch. As it is very cold, if it was me, I would be very careful about going back to work so soon after getting over a cold. Ah... just thought, is it your indoor editing job tomorrow?

No, the indoor job would have been today, and involved a 3 mile ride to get there - I was headachy, and felt that looking at a screen all day would be a bad thing, not to mention spreading my germs and feeling generally useless, and coughing a lot. Unless I feel really crap tomorrow morning (and I'm way better now), I'll be fine for the outdoors, although I might ask to go on the electric vehicle instead of the trike. Oddly, I don't feel like I have a cold very much now, bar a slight feeling in the back of my throat. So maybe it was a 24 hour virus thing - I really thought it was 'flu on Wednesday, but that would take longer to get over.

NT, I get a similar thing when I'm in my winter work coat, a big thick Hi-vis thing. Only last week, an old chap came out of his house as I was picking up the box and said "You're doing a good job young man.... " I turned to face him. "Er.... miss...."

Fine, thank you. I was watching "Behind Enemy Lines" this evening with one of my favourite actors, Gene Hackman.

Well, I was not watching it with him, but he was a leading character in it. Admittedly I am a female type person, but even I could see lots of technical errors in the film. The continuity department should be sacked.

You haven't heard of Mr Benn? Goodness me! You must be young! ;)

He was the lead character in a Children's tv programme. He used to go into a Fancy Dress shop, put on various outfits and "put the world to rights". I think it has a website or similar.

One of which is here.
