And I should think so too!

You two are such a funny couple, well worth popping into 'Tea?' for.

And neither of us really drinks tea

it's just a quiet corner to fraternise

Pots, you are treading on dangerous ground here.

Classic films, and "Rear Window" was a classic, are oft repeated for many decades, late at night. But I suppose until recently that would have been well passed your bedtime.

Afternoon. Well spoke too soon and after thinking I'd been really brave and battled thru my 'man flu' it seems the deadly virus won't let me go that easily, woke up with a really sore throat and a headache.

Even a bacon butty hasn't helped, good job I don't like to complain anyway

Trying a cup of c**f*e to see if that helps.

Well played! Deuce!

Well, I've been out Xmas shopping. With limited success, I have to call Mum tonight to check what she thinks about something, and the diary my B-i-L wants is fine, and costly, but rather a slim gift to be the only one, so I'm still pondering a little extra, without falling into the 'that's a man thing/gadget, it'll do' trap.

There was a continental food market on, with stalls that had the most enormous pans cooking paella, stirfries, tartiflette etc. I nearly succumbed, but wandering around in a crush trying to eat stuff out of a plastic dish didn't appeal so much. I might treat myself tomorrow.

Tea anyone? Potsy, how is your throat now? I've had a slightly sore throat for 2 weeks now, so I'm just getting used to it....

Wish I'd known you were Xmas shopping Arch, I'd have given you a list to get for me while you were there

Hot lemon, paracetamol, and a choccy bar seem to be helping slightly with my throat, though I don't think the choccy was strictly necessary

I'm blaming Speicher for all my woes, she's a bad influence keeping me awake until after midnight

Oh I think it was - to hide the paracetamol in! Or do you take pills better than a cat or dog? ;)

If I'm getting b-i-l a diary, would a pen be a naff extra pressie? Lakeland have 'space pens' that are supposed to work in all conditions, anyone tried one? I was thinking a nice pen, not a biro nicked from Argos...

I heard that Potsy! Me? a bad influence?

My sore throat is now worse, again. Fortunately nearly all "shopping" has been done, apart from collecting the turkey crown. Just need to decide whether to make my own stuffing or try the one recommended by the delicattessen.

Talking of cats, they were very clever this week, and found a lovely clock in the Blue Cross animal charity shop. They obviously knew I needed a new clock for my desk, and found one with a teddy bear next to it, made by the same Company that makes Steiff bears, so very tasteful.
