Was watching a bit of 'The biggest loser' the other day where one couple were eating approx 800 calories a day and saying they were 'struggling' to eat enough

they had got themselves to 20+ stone and now they can't eat?
Bodies were going into starvation mode and shutting down so they only lost a small amount each.

I think a sensible target would be 1500 calories a day. Otherwise as you say, their bodies go into starvation mode. The leader of my WW group, has lost a total of eight stone. Not sure how long that took her, but even so.
Yes, you are right, if I lost an average of 1.5 pounds a week for the next ... um... er .. umpty weeks, yes, I would be pleased. I have enough points left today, to have a hot chocolate drink made with semi-skimmed milk.

Condolences NT, must have been a horrible decision to make, I'm almost welling up as well now

When I had to have 'Rusty' put to sleep after he was hit by a car I couldn't go into the room and stay with him I was just too upset.
Plenty of tea and sympathy on offer in the tea room.

It was really difficult, I couldn't sleep having decided that it was 'the best thing to do' as how could I really be sure of that?
I have been in bed since I got back from the Vet's with a banging head, stress most probably. My head still hurts and I am drained and numb.

No cats left now.
It feels a bit like I am living in an alien world, with alien beings, trying to fit into alien culture and lifestyles and having lost all my human friends. Not many of the aliens can see how alone I feel now but at least some do. Sadly not in my household though.
