I'll swap you for our drizzly grey weather if it would make you feel better:laugh:.

Thanks for the update on the fire. It looks pretty devastating.

Beautiful morning in Cornwall too - blue sky and Simpson style clouds. Had a "Active travel to work" breakfast this morning with work folks, who usually drive, coming in by more active means. Scrambled eggs and toast and croussants and coffee and fruit salad and yogurt and fruit juice.

Gave my stuck seat post another squib of Plusgas before coming out this morning - gonna scald the down tube and give the seat post a few whacks tonight to see if it'll budge. If not, next step is ammonia!!

Can still come here for my cuppa tea though.

Tea, please. I'm sweating... Just finished one of the *big* clean-outs of the hens. Although I remove the overnight non-edible offerings from hens' bums every day, I do a *big* clean once a week. All the wood shavings & straw are removed & put on the compost heap. The henhouse is washed from top to bottom, allowed to dry. Then everything is disinfected - allowed to dry again - then new wood shavings & straw put in with a re-application of Stalosan F. The food & water containers are similarly thoroughly cleaned.

I too am sweating. I've just loaded a truckload of logs, driven them home, unloaded them (i.e. flung them over the hedge into the front garden), then driven back and got another load.

Another two loads like that, plus stacking them in the log shed (have to empty all the bikes out first) and we're set up for the winter...

Now, any tea going?
