Bad news- just had notice that Administrators have been called in to a builder we've worked with for over 14 years... not been paid for last 2 projects so owed a small fortune.

Need a tea and a few minutes to calm down!

Could be worse, nobody's hurt and we're all healthy.

On a lighter note, I have been trying to find the Photo Challenge thread. IIRC it paused, as it were, when a highly-regarded Uncle, had his accident.

So, Uncle Phil, would you like to find the thread, or someone find it for him, and think of a new Challenge? :hugs:

(Peeps will have noticed I do not submit photos, but I do really enjoy looking at them, and I am sure some people enjoy it as well).

An excellent point, Speicher. I found the thread - it was here all the time.

I didn't realise I'd won the last round - as you said, I had other things on my mind!

Well, now I know I'll have to think up a new one. I'll sleep on it and post something tomorrow. Moff home now - night all!

Hoik!

No one had Tea since yesterday evening?

I actually got my canti arms fitted, having bought a set of taps to clean the bosses out. But the cable hanger isn't compatible with the new headset, so that's another thing to get. (along with crankset bolts, which seem so have gone missing). So I'll have to make a quick trip to the bike shop tomorrow.

If this bike is built before Christmas, it'll be a miracle. Mum's coming up next weekend, so that's a whole weekend of fettle time gone.... Plus it means most of tomorrow will be taken up with cleaning.

I'll put the kettle on.

Hmm. Now - your mum won't be around forever but there'll always be time to fettle a cable hanger. Lost my mum this year - took me ages but eventually I hid in a skip and she ran right past!

We planted a tree for her - which is good because then we'll know where we left her.

Tea? There's some builder's in the pot.

I'll have some of the Doc's early grey if there's any left.

Arch - I will soon be a novice fettler. I'm off to Newcastle tomorrow to be taught by Edinburgh Bike Co-op:smile:. My bike should be in tip top condition ready for Sunday's ride:biggrin:.

Big steaming mug of builder's for me please.

Just heard from one of my minions at work that his brother has died in unfortunate circumstances. :becool:

Tea in celebration of finally finishing the soil sample hole and being on half-term please. :becool:

Got two days working on the recycling, Monday and Tuesday to top up the student bank account. Loads of reading to do and time to catch up on the washing and cleaning that has been put off because of cycling events. Few what a month and it ends next week. Where did October go?

Or, in a hundred seemingly unconnected bits...:becool:

Earl Grey for Helen, Assam for Waffles, Ornery Tea for Gromit, and Extra Strong tea for Hulver.

Gromit, do you need a ladder lowering to get you out of the hole, or shall I pass the tea down?
