Sorry I've been a bit quiet this week. I started a new job . It's been good. Yesterday I even got an impromptu lesson in producing a TV programme. I think the job is going to be hard work but fun.

Of course, the Tea? thread appears to be a comfy arena of chitchat and hot beverages, but underneath it's a seething hotbed of passion. I've been secretly shacked up with one of the teatowels for months....


Tea anyone? It's a rotten day here, although the snow has now stopped. I went and got a haircut, and some groceries, and some M and S pants. It's all excitement here. Going out for a ride tomorrow, so it better be nicer! Just not sleeting would be good.

Come on in Longers, I got some wagonwheels in the poundshop...

It is overcast and grey and cold here today, not a day for more decomposting. I will do some more sewing, I think, and then tonight is a Chinese Take Away! woo hoo!

I have brought some biskits in, but please do not tell Potsy. They are hidden over there. >

Helen, I think Longers still has a enormous shopping bag for the procurement of biskits.

Arch, can I put the tiddley tiny bits of cotton in the compost? will they add texture or just make a mess. Potsy said I talk a load of rubbish.

Just arranged to go and look at a couple of nallotments tomorrow so I might be able to grow my own biscuits in the future. I've been waiting years for this!
I'm planning on helping work as much as I can when I leave by liberating a lot of stuff, with their permission, that might come in useful.

I'd guess at the cotton being fine for the compost but it is just a guess.

I admire the idea of a Biskit tree, but I can't help feeling that Longers may be disappointed.

Flapjacks sound lovely, thank you. The good thing with flapjacks is that, within reason, you can put all sorts of things in them.

Sorry to read your news yesterday, Longers.

The main ingredient of biskits being oats, I am wondering how you will grow your own. Yes, it is a bit of guess work with the compost. Two or three pages back, you can read that I made a start on emptying the compost heap starting from the base. Some things have not composted at all, and some not completely. I assume that the good stuff can be stored in a large bag until I start putting some new plants in the garden later in the spring. The whole point is to save buying compost. (Does seem daft to throw stuff away, then six months later pay for compost that could be free.)
