Arch, have you ever tried descaling your kettle with a lemon? Apparently you cut it into quarters, put it in the kettle, boil the kettle and leave it to stand overnight. Sounds much better than using chemicals to achieve the same effect.

I have seen the Consultant today about my damaged finger. With physiotherapy, the finger has regained most of its flexibility and strength, but is still a bit bent. He will see me again in three months to reassess whether surgery is needed to straighten the finger.

I'm not sure I have the hang of this diet thing.

I've gone from 13 1/2 stone to 14 stone!

Oh well, time for bed.

Another sunny day, even managed to sneak out for a little 18 mile ride, tea time soon, time to raid the freezer.

Potsy, three cornettos do not constitute a healthy meal.

Speicher I am on holiday so am allowed to eat what I want this week
Current treat is an Easter chocolate log, and some creme eggs (the Cornetto's have gone)

Have found a quarter lb'er burger and some chips

Potsy, that is true. Can I be on holiday as well then? Are you staying at home for Easter?

Is anyone else, besides me, not going away at Easter?

I thought someone was being nice to me today while I was out for a ride.

I saw a line of cars waiting to exit a minor road on my left ahead. I wasn't riding fast and when the first car paused and then went I didn't mind. The second car waited for me, or so I thought.
I was about to nod aknowledgement as I road past but noticed he wasn't waiting for me to pass, he was too busy texting to notice.

I want to ride with my Trend Airace dust mask on.

It'll keep the pollen out of my sinuses.


I'll have a tea now, I think.

Evening. I have hot chocolate and am feeling somewhat sorry for myself.

White vinegar works for kettles, too. And toilet bowls and anything else you want to clean.

coffeejo I hope your gums are feeling better today, I have to have a wisdom tooth taken out at some point when the hospital finaly decides to sort out an appointment for me.

I'm probably killing my liver by taking staggered doses of ibuprofen and paracetamol but right now, I find I don't really care

Good luck with your removal - stock up on drinking straws as well as painkillers ...

Thanks for the tip I will do that.

As its only 1 hopefully it wont be too bad but the top of the tooth has snapped off so it will probably be a swine to get out.

<sigh> Lucky he didn't suddenly realise and shoot forward without looking just as you passed. Really, you have to think for everyone else!

It'l also have small children and old ladies screaming and running away! It looks like a cheap Sci Fi costume...

It is right at the back and half covered by the edge of the gum at the far corner of my mouth so it has just got in a right state because you cant get to it to clean it properly and has been filled a few times and eventually just fell apart.

Really they should have taken it out a long time ago.
