I've managed to whack my knee on the bike. No idea how, but it's going to come up as a lovely bruise. Obviously the bike's way of sulking since I'll be going into the hoppytal in four wheels.

No pie for a while, I know that much

I have a newish 6 speed Brompton, in black with front luggage!

It doesn't belong to me but it is so easy to covert it and not give it back. Would that be bad of me?

It would. Brommies get very attached to their owners, and it would pine.

I'd be coveting it too....

I've just fixed my p****ure, well, changed the tube, it was a previous patch that had lifted at one edge - I've tried overpatching it, but I think it's a gonner - it has a couple of patches on it already, so it's not too extravagant to chuck it out. (anyway, I'll find an alternative use for it) And not only did I remember to put latex gloves on, so I don't have grubby hands, I managed to get the tyre back on without levers, the frst time I think.

I hope the tooth pulling went ok!

Morning. I feel somewhat urgh, to put it mildly, but no longer have to drink through a straw, much to my friends' toddlers' disappointment. Paracetamol only barely taking the edge of things, curled up in bed with Jeeves and Wooster and my friend's cat who attempted a nipple piercing earlier.

How's thee all? Doing lots of cycling I hope.

I've hoovered the car, took some stuff to the tip, and done a very small amount of gardening, it is very nice out with just a gentle breeze.
Cats are outside 23 hours a day now, just occasionally nip home to check we are still here I think, and to have a feed.

Plenty of tea being drunk, and bacon butties eaten, off for a day in Windermere tomorrow, hopefully the weather will last a few more days :sun:

No point offering you a piece of chewy toffee then?

But you could carry on anyway. Get one of those curly straws that go round and round in a sort of knot for extra fun.

I think I've got my mojo back. This morning I felt distinctly 'meh'. Tonight, after running an errand on the way home, I cycled an completely unnecessary 6 miles or so in the sun.

Gosh it's been hot today though. What month is it?

Tea? I'm going to make dinner in a bit...

I did a few more miles on the Brompton. It feels odd not seeing my front wheel.

I headed out in traffic on the road and back on the cycle path. I will give the cycle path a miss next time. Myself and a young woman, wearing inline skates and carrying two big bags of shopping, waited ages before we could cross the motorway sliproad to stay on the cycle path. The cycling around the motorway junction is definately quicker and safer.

I worked out today that the Brommie's gears require split shifts. Based on the hub gear it is 1st low, 1st high, 2nd low, 2nd high, 3rd low, 3rd high.

Time to think about dinner.
