I went to a swap day at St Nicks, where you take stuff to get rid off, to declutter.

The decluttering only works if you don't come back with more stuff than you took...

Tea?

We'd be a disaster at that! We're taking a pile of stuff to the recycling centre tomorrow.

Tea, or mini-magnum? I have a choice of lemoncillo or Irish cream.

Potsy, you should be encouraging me to get out and shed some pounds, by persuading me to stay in it's almost as if you have an ulterior motive

Just back from a lovely moonlit spin. The lanes were very quiet and there were lots of nocturnal creatures out; we moved a baby hedgehog off the road into a garden and then escorted a baby badger down a lane into a field

Bit late for tea so I'm having a hot choc before hittng the hay.

Morning all. Tea? Coffee? It's bucketing it down here. The dog took three steps out of the back door and turned tail and came straight back in. I might follow her lead and go back to bed.

ETA Baggy, sounds lovely. I love riding at night.

I think most dog owners follow their dogs' leads....

In another decluttering *FAIL*, I'm off to a car boot sale this morning - potentially buying, not selling...

Tea?

I still have the Old Hall stainless steel teapot that I bought at a car boot sale about twenty-five years ago. It was very nearly in mint condition and sold to me for 10 pence I think. This would be about 1% of it's cost at the time. It is also the only item I recall purchasing at a car boot sale. I was helping a friend sell lots of things, because she was moving house.

I wonder what Arch will have found, (and bought) hhmm .... pink elephant?
Picture frames for putting Ollie's masterpieces in?
Tatty reflective jackets so you can reuse the silver reflective bit?
Carrot chutney?
Wool in various doggy shades?
Chocolate Teapot?

Translation. I woke up, saw it was sunny, but stayed in bed for a bit.
When I woke up again, it was raining.
Bollocks.
Never mind. Let's go out anyway, after all how bad can it be?
I got cold, and wet, and unhappy, and then I went to the garden center and had a full English and cappucino.
Which I enjoyed

One wooden Lazy Susan (to put under my new/secondhand telly so that it can easily swivel for watching in bed)
One Signal booster, to see if I can get digital any better (currently a very weak signal)
and
One lead to connect it to the telly.

My tame engineer is currently seeing if it'll work - the lead turns out to have one sort of wrong end on it, but may be temporarily bodgeable.

Total cost: £1.10

And it works. He's just 'adapting*' the bit that doesn't fit.

Bit of a culture chock. It's all in colour!

*A bit like you 'adapt' a square peg for a round hole. With a little finesse and a degree of force. ;)

Funnily enough I have also had a full english, and a garden centre and a coffee, AND a car boot sale!

No :bicycle: involved, but saw a few out there. Kept wanting to wave, but they'd wonder why someone they didn't know was waving from a car...

I've just realised. The cost of the upgrade in hardware terms is around 1% of the cost of upgrading the licence to colour...
