Mornings.

Do fat cats on a diet drink milkshakes?

Oh yes!! Lots of it too

Day of rest for me, have done just short of 150 miles this week and my saddle sores need a day off.

Got a few jobs to do on the ever growing bike fleet, might even give the main bike a clean

I went out for a ride this afternoon and gave up after about 10 minutes and returned home. It was a bit too hot for my liking.

Tea! Hell no. I poured myself a nice glass of Chardonnay and relaxed on the balcony ...

Bike cleaned  need a sit down now to get over the shock, found one of my bottle cages had cracked (bloody £3 Tesco rip-off) and my brake blocks are nearly worn out, amazing what you can see once the muck is removed

All work done whilst supping tea from my 'big mug'

I make a point of not thinking about Potsy's large (or small) anything...

My cycle computer gave up the ghost so I've no idea how far we cycled or how fast but it was Hilly. Very Hilly. R mapped the route on Google Maps and forgot to look at the contour lines on the OS map. We went up, we went down, then up and up, then down ... you get the picture. A good day, though I think I'll probably be giving tomorrow's ride a miss.

Currently enjoying a glass of Innocent Smoothie and waiting for the hot water to come on for a much-needed bath.

Well done on today's ride, btw. 22 miles is a cracking distance

Don't tell Potsy, as he'll only get jealous, but we managed to squeeze in a cake stop, lunch and then an ice cream break on the way home. I stocked up on the carbs at lunch with a Devon pastie, chips and beans. T'was very, very good. :hungry:

Thanks - am rather pleased with it myself

For my lunch I decided I need calories - so went for a lovely egg may baguette (huge it was!), kitkat, flapjack type thing..........and of course the obligatory large cup of coffee (I'd got water in my bag to drink so didn't need that........).

Was particularly pleased as although the back gears are now working fabulously - I discovered that the front ones need adjusting.............badly - so spent the majority of the ride with just 6 gears to play with

I nearly stopped for an ice cream - but the ones I saw I just knew would be charging rip off prices - and I'm a cheapskate at the best of time ....

It was too hot today for coffee or tea so I cleaned my innards with several pints of diet coke. Cider would have been better but I'm still not 100% with my toe clips

along side the coffee I clean my inards with Dr Pepper, used to drink Diet Coke.......then realised that the crap they put it it to make it sweet is worse than the sugar - but didn't like proper coke........
