Trouble is, you plug a volcano, the pressure has to go somewhere or it just builds up. Vesuvius is blocked with a plug of rock and is long overdue an eruption. When it goes, I'd hate to be near Naples.

Wakey wakey Speicher!

I've just got back from a lovely ride with two of the guys from the club. 30 miles, one or two (or three) hills and a coffee stop where - sit down, please - I did not partake of any cake. Nope, not a crumb, not a morsel. Just coffee.

I feel all smug.

As you know by now, we will be moving on Sunday. I would like to suggest we have some new curtains in the new Tea? What do you think of these? If you do not like the girly pink, you could have green. If you do not like my suggestion, feel free to add a suggestion of your own.

I'm assuming from my lack of bruises that you haven't visited the 'new' tea room today Speich?

Before we move, I was also thinking that we need to empty the cupboard so that it is lighter for the removal men to lift it.

I am sure I bought lots of extra crisps and sweets for the party in the new thread. Who has eaten most of them already?

Right. I've researched, and I've come up with a plan for next years Slightly Silly Ride.
The Plan.
Train to Harwich and get the overnight ferry to That Holland.
Ride south and stop for the night in Middleberg. Or Vlissingen. Somewhere around there anyhow.
Following day, ride into Belgium, through Belgium and out the other side into France. This will involve some beer, some frites (Belgian frites are the best!!) and a ride on the coast tram.
This also involves three countries in one day

Following day, have a leisurely pootle down to Dunkirk and get the ferry back to Dover, then a train to St Pancreas and back to sunny St Ephanage.
What could possibly go wrong?
