Evenings!!
I have been baking Christmas cake. And a slow-roasted shoulder of lamb :hungry:
Once the cake is cooked, I was supposed to pour some sherry into it, but I've run out.
I had to improvise with rum
I may have made the most alcoholic cake ever:becool::thumbsup:
Woop! Christmas with the Da-leks!

The house smells like being in a distillery while being smothered in raisins.
I'm now surrounding some Islay single malt, just to add to the ambience.

I find it odd how, from my desk, I have to aim the tv remote very carefully to get the TV to respond and yet the Freeview recorder, which is under the sofa at the opposite corner of the room and with no direct line of sight will respond to its remote easily if I point it roughly in the direction of the TV. The TV screen isn't reflecting the IR in the Freeview box's direction either as there is no line of sight between them.

Even with new batteries the TV remote is always a bit silly to use. But at least it is understandable. I can't see how the Freeview box gets its IR signal though.
Oddly, if I point the remote at the Freeview box it is less responsive then if I pointed it randomly at a wall.
