I went out for a walk earlier to test endomondo gps app I got for my phone and 6.72 miles later I got home with very cold ears but my hands were fine without gloves.

Technical issues with the front wheel NT, probably something I've caused with my inept fettling
As I was braking the front wheel was moving sideways, has to stop twice to undo qr and re-tighten.
QR feels very tight but wheel was still coming loose, had another go just now and did a brake test on the car park and it seemed OK.
WIll mention it when it goes for it's first service/check-up next week, unless it gets worsethen I'lltake it back sooner.
I've summerised my other bike so don't want touse that really, the hybrid has it's studded tyres on now so that is not an option either.

Have you checked the cup and cone bearings for play and also that the brakes are centred when they contact the wheel rim?

No play, and they are disc brakes NT

Hmmmm, photo needed I think.
Check drop outs?

As the disc is gripped by the caliper it will try to force the axle out of the drop outs because of the stupid bicycle design that has become the standard.
Are there raised ridges around the drop outs to locate the QR nuts? Is the axle a good fit in the drop outs?

I've been looking at Eclipse 24tpi hacksaw blades on ebay. I might treat my workshop to a new one for the coming year.
