Yes nice and warm here as well no ice but plenty of rain but I am planning a little ride later as long as nothing crops up.

I did my 1st leisure ride of 2012 today just over 5 miles to the lbs and back.

Came home via the off road trail, it can best be described as 'heavy going' hard work for an old git like me, and it was into a bit of a headwind
Might treat myself to a Radox bath to sooth the aches and pains

I just took Granville out to the GP's. Granville wasn't ill, the appointment was for me.

It was nice riding Granville again and having a choice of gears to play with. His chain needs a bit of lube as it is looking a bit dry.

I feel like I am regressing in my illness at the moment, a bit like Charlie in the later part of Flowers for Algernon as he loses his artificially raised intelligence. I am certainly not typing as easily and very unsure of my spelling. It is quite scary watching myself losing my mind, even if it is only a glitch.

Just booked the bike in for it's 1st service, dropping it off Monday for a Tuesday checkover.
Have mentioned the problem with the front wheel/disc brake, they said they will have a good check and sort it out, good bunch in there.
Ready for now, curry night I think.

I just got back from a little 38 mile myself no doubt Jo will have been cycling to the north pole and back this afternoon

Yup on the cheapy bike I am really getting to like that bike. It is a lot more comfy than the secteur it doesnt hurt my back at all, but on the secteur sometimes I get a bit of an ache at the bottom of my spine, I guess it is more streched out than the Hybrid is. The flat bars make my hands hurt a bit but I am getting used to it, I had to drop into the Specialized Concept Store on the way home and they had a flat bar carbon bike in the sale for £900 shame it was only a double.

Is it wrong that I like a flat bar bike so much

The last 4 days off the bike have worked wonders, I wasnt getting out of breath and sore leg muscles like I was last week, i reckon I could have done the ride again if I hadnt run out of daylight
