I've just had and I am contemplating spending the day on the roof fettling a Velux window from the back roof of the house to the front. Sky looks clear but I need to see what the wind is like for abseiling down the roof slates.

Tell you what, Potsy, you get up on my roof, on a rope, remove a Velux window, repair the hole in the rafters, re-felt it all, batten it and then re-slate it all so that it is weather proof, in the cold, wind and rain. I'll even scatter Jaffnip all over the ridge tiles.

He is just waggling his legs really fast so it looks like it ........... imagine the mess if he did that on your roof
