Well, the sun did come out again and it has been hot though a bit breezy.

I got on to the roof and started to dismantle the Velux, all well and good and everything came apart easily until only the frame was left.

Can't get the frame out. I forgot, I fitted it when the whole roof was off and then felted, battened and slated right up tight to the Velux frame. That means no slack to get at the fixing brackets without removing a lot of slates, battens and felt.

I decided to reassemble it and leave it in place. It is a good fit with no leaks and there seemed less point to removing it that way. I will see if I can find a second hand one on Ebay instead.

Anyway, a load more time spent on the tractor instead.

Well I was lucky and discovered half a carrot cake that Mrs RM hid from me....she's away in Aberdeen and may have forgotten about it when she comes home tonight. Having said that she does have a very good memory, so I may be in trouble.

Mmmm, I need this . We had a big communal lunch at work, and then guess whose washing up day it was...

And my Firefox has gone funny*, so I'm on Explorer, and it's all a bit slow.

*Whatever webpage I try to load, it just stays on the homepage. The address bar says www.cyclechat.net or whatever, but the page is the homepage.

Running AVG to see if it comes up with anything. There was a message saying it wanted to update Firefox, but wanted to restart, so I cancelled it meaning to do it later.

@ Arch,
Chrome is the best browser IMHO, especially on a netbook. It doesn't use up much of the display with boxes and buttons, and it's faster than a speedy thing going downhill.

I has got my 531ST tourer up and running again!!!
As a singlespeeder.
Quite why I need a fixie and a SS I'm not sure, but anyhow...
I now need to go and get a 27.2mm seatpost.
There may be further outbreaks of squeee later. My Ribble may well be involved.
