Woo hoo, car passed it's MOT
Must have been the quick rinse with the hosepipe yesterday that did it

3\4 mile bike ride to pick it up

I must get mine through its MOT. It expired last week as I had to cancel the test I had arranged before I became incapacitated. Must find a local tester so that Arch can take it for me next weekend. She can then use my car to do the York Manchester commute.Woo hoo, car passed it's MOTMust have been the quick rinse with the hosepipe yesterday that did it

The bolt may be adjustable to tighten it a little.Talking of "old-fashioned" ??tools, like someone was on another thread. I have some garden shears in the garage, that are very stiff to use. Can the bolt be adjusted, and how can I remove some of the rust from the blades? is it easy with a particular sort of sandpaper on metal?
For surface rust on the flat side of the blade fine wire wool will polish it off.
Spending what seemed like most of last night having bad dreams has left me in a very low and fed up mood today.
The dreams involved having to cut my own hair, which I did badly, and then fixing a car for someone who didn't appreciate it and still gave me a hard time for doing it even though it was a favour that meant I missed going to do an exam that would have been really important to my career.
I know it was just a bad dream so why am I still pi**ed off about it?![]()
I'm not much fussed about my hair anymore, short-ish and tidy will do. As for being appreciated I reckon it is one of the reasons I am still off sick and waiting, still waiting, for psychotherapy referral. I could have done with a year ago. I feel very appreciated by those who matter, but maybe I am still hung up about those who don't.I am guessing a bit here, never having met you. Is it because having your hair cut properly, and being appreciated for your hard work are very very important to you? You know it was a dream, but the emotions involved during the dream are now staying in your brain, and being "processed" by your brain, even though you are awake.
I have often had really horrid vivid nightmares, and feel upset and confused the following day. So I do not think it is just you.

I just wish I could shake off the general gloominess I am feeling today and get back to enjoying life.
That must be it.Also, I took all the leftover cake away with me - that can't have helped....![]()
Well, at least you didn't have to be here while that was going on. I hope your neighbours, below, are ok.Well, I'm home. There's a policeman stationed outside the flat next door, while a man fixes the damage they did when they forced entry over the weekend to arrest the occupant... Fun and games!
