Good grief, the sky's gone blue, the clouds are no more than gentle wisps and we have :sun:.

Furthermore, under no circumstances whatsoever, for any reason, will any, even the smallest item be accepted into this house from anyone else's home, with the exception, of course, of edible items. ^_^

Ah.

Would this also apply to the decorative tin I found some time ago, but never got round to sending? It's got French on it...

I think it'll be time for more :cuppa: soon.

I'm not so sorry to be missing the Rally - got wet through today. Feel sorry for the campers...

Well I'm home, horrible weather last night/this morning, wet and windy but not as bad as it is for the nice cj up in Hebden Bridge
Doubt he'll be cycling anywhere this weekend, unless he puts some flippers on and converts his bike into a canoe :rain:

Got my 2nd puncture in a week, got wet, nearly got blown off (shut it Phil) on the way home, but at least the working week is over
Will be expecting a :cuppa: around 11am

I am actually in bed using my Galaxy Tab but I am thinking about getting up to go look at the floods! The flood sirens went off yesterday evening as I was walking to the shops. The river was rising rapidly and threatening to wash away the remaining scaffolding for the new town hall extension which is supposed to be declared open today! There is supposed to be a big parade through the town today but it sounds like that will have to be cancelled.

I'm back after a quick stroll through the town centre! Yes - there has been significant flooding. There will be some very smelly shops later today ... The water levels have dropped, but some parts of the main road are still under water with cars trapped in deep water. I met a very confused duck waddling down the middle of a soggy, muddy pedestrianised zone!

Fortunately, I live about 3 metres higher than the highest level that flood waters tend to reach. The whole valley would have to flood to get me. Yes - I realise that will probably have now jinxed the town and am not waiting for the once-in-a-thousand-years flood ...

Apparently the valley road is still blocked at Mytholmroyd so from that direction it would be better to take the top road from Luddenden Foot up through Midgley to Pecket Well and come down the Keighley Road. I think the road is still just passable in Todmorden if coming from that direction. Check the travel news for latest updates.

My niece is on her way up so I have just warned her of the problems.

Morning :hello:

It is still raining here, going to be a wet ride on the trail tomorrow, mud-fest alert.

Trying to wake up enough to go and get some supplies from Aldi :hungry:
