That was an epic trip. 0.75 miles, in three quarters of an hour, including dithering and queueing time in Morrisons. An average 1mph!

Still, we scalped a woman pushing a pram....:cycle:

I thought it was a flower gun. A bit like a bubble machine but with less detergent and more pollen...

NT would not go for anything as straight forward as that. He added some dolls on the top and some inflatable footballs.

Do I see some buckets and spades there, and did Arch buy a banana?

Look, I cannot sit here all day having fun. I am currently taking a short break from this tidying marathon. Now doing the recycling depot. I have sorted a large box of bottle tops. Metal ones, and plastic ones. Most of them can be recycled, except for the flexible large ones, which will go to the Pump House for the next time Anda wants to make some flowers. It is amazing what she can do with coloured bottle tops, the white thingies from the top of Tetrapaks, and a tall stick. ^_^

I think I need to have a large box labelled "Things that might be useful one day, but I am not sure when, or what for." The garage is well organised with all the plumbing miscellaneous bits together and all the various car related items together.

I used to keep odd lengths of string. I found a good use for them: tying together the cotton reel with the bobbin of the same thread in my sewing basket.

Just managed to get the car back from the garage. It has passed its MOT:wahhey: with just two advisories, a suspension bush and handbrake adjustment, which will need to be sorted when I am mobile again.

As soon as we got back I laid down on the drive and popped out the drain plugs from the passenger side floor of the car. It is full of water from a faulty pollen filter apparently. No opportunity to fix it this time so I will just let the car drain for the time being. I may see if I can do something in the mean time though.

I am shattered now. It has been a hard day, and night, and I need a rest now. :tired:

:cuppa: in hand.

Well done on the MoT. :wahhey:

I thought Arch might be staying with you for an extra day or so because of her painful neck. Is she driving back?

I am :wahhey: at how well the tidying up is going. It is amazing how tidy things can be when things of a similar nature are put together in a box, instead of spilling untidily everywhere. I have the sort of brain that copes best concentrating on one thing at a time. Lots of paper has been shredded, and is heading for the compost bin. More bottle tops have been sorted. All old asthma inhalers now all together as they can now be recycled at a Co-op chemist, the nearest one is at Stratford upon Avon, so they are ready for when I next go in that direction. I found some decorative red tiny stones, that can be used instead of grit in my newly-potted Pulsatilla plantlets. ^_^ Lots of jars sorted for people to reuse for jam making. Ditto wine bottles (). And lots of other things sorted add infin item.

The "Ttmbuodbnswowf" box is not too big. Electrickery items for taking to the tip are all together.

Next on the agenda but perhaps not this week, is the clothes that have been given to me to sort for the Charity shops.

Can I recycle milk bottle tops, the foil ones from traditional see-through ones?

Next on the agenda is a shower and then something to eat. :hungry:

No, the car is staying here for now, though she could have used it for the commute given the fuel is some 40% cheaper then the train ticket. Arch is able to get a train, from the station across the road from my house, straight to York if her timing is right. Saves a time consuming tram ride.
