Yeah right that will be the day.

You know him so well....

On another note, when the conductor on my train home punched my ticket, the didcot was cat shaped!

I then decided to make the bed and pack away the bedding on the sofa.

I shall sleep on my bed tonight.:wahhey:

If you don't hear from me in the morning then that probably means I am stuck up there (In need of a bottle please, nurse!).

I am hoping that getting my living space back to normal will help me get more active and feel happier.

It's always nice to get back into your own bed. Sofas are never all that comfy, IME.

I have a cement mixer!:giggle:

Yes, my sofa also only allows me to sleep as if on the wrong side of the bed. I like having a limb hanging over the edge, but the other edge.

Um...

If you hang a limb over that other edge, it'll either be an arm, or your booted foot. The extra weight might drag you over the edge!

I lie on my left side, facing outwards and stick out either my right arm or leg.
You'd know that if stayed awake as long as I do!
^_^

I can walk up and down about 4-5 steps on the stairs if I am careful, but I use a crutch just to be safe.

I'm trying to write a reflective assignment on the group presentation I did back in March. I have to give feedback for each member of the group, strengths/ weaknesses and justified by theory such as Belbin or Mcgregor management theory. Have also got to make brief and constructive recommendations to assist further development.

Problem I have is, I only met up with the group four times. We all worked on the assignment individually. My Mum got sick and died so was not around to do brainstorming sessions.

I spent time over the weekend half writing the assignment to be told that I am being to descriptive.

I'm really frustrated as I keep running into these difficulties, it's really knocking my confidence to the extent that I feel stupid and worthless, because I can't do what should be a simple straight forward assignment.

Please someone tell me what is wrong with me, what am I doing wrong?

OK - lecturer wading in here .... can I check that a) you're not studying at Leeds Met and b) you're not one of my students !! Note - all advice is purely theoretical from here on in.

Firstly, it's not easy to be critically evaluative. It's a skill that is developed over time. You're not stupid and you're not worthless. It's also probably not as simple an assignment as you've described.

In terms of reflective work, where I would write that someone is being descriptive is because you have described the situation only. You may have included theory but have not applied the theory to the situation you've described. i.e.:

Someone in your group is the Belbin role of a Plant. How has this role been evidenced in their actions? Did they come up with ideas, but not follow them through? If so, how did the group adapt to this? What worked and what didn't work and WHY? If so, how could you have improved?

The same would fit with McGregor's work.

Also, it's not just about the group meetings - how did the group form? Did this impact the way it worked and why? If group members were allocated work to do in between meetings did they do it or not? Why/why not?

That's just a start. Hope it helps. Now, a :cuppa:
