Eh up NT, just saw a bit on BBC Breakfast about the UK electric speed record attempt, being done at Elvington today! Lucky the airfield isn't under water!

How's the water in York, Arch? I hope you are still OK. Forget electric cars, I think you'll need TVC's dry suit.
TVC has dry suit???

Evenings!!
Got a few bits from Aldi earlier - a bright red towel, pair of socks, some leg-warmers (Fame!!) and some of them reflective spoke doofers.
Didn't get a waterproof jacket though.
Unlike this bloke...

NT came over this afternoon, and after I'd finished work, I took him for a tour of the flood.

Then we had a pint :cheers:and bought some chips for dinner :hungry:

 - mind you, sounds like my sort of an evening, although I not too sure about the flood. What was the pub called: Noah's Arms? The Post Deluvian? The Ship Inn?

The Last Drop, as a matter of fact! Although the drop in the name is not of liquid, but the gravitational type.

We couldn't have got to the Ship Inn, I don't think, that's out at Acaster - by the river. Or rather, just now, under it.

The flooding is impressive to see - all very well for me suppose, since my flat is high and dry. But there were a lot of folk out just looking at the water. Brings home just how little and feeble we really are.

Today will be a bit different. Work for me this morning, then a funeral this afternoon.
