Just been to Barcalona for a few days- finally got to see the Gaudi stuff I've only seen in books and Mies van der Rohe's 1929 Barcelona Pavilion... + what a thunderstorm we had :rain:.

Back late yesterday afternoon... first thing Mrs A_T wanted after shutting the front door on the fog + dropping the case, was a nice :cuppa:

Just in from work (via ASDA) and having a nice cuppa and a lemon yoghurt. I had to have the yoghurt as we went a bit overboard on the fridge stuff and I couldn't get the door to shut with the yoghurt in the fridge.

Seriously considering a ride as its only a bit misty here and I have a council orange hi-viz jacket now. Surely the few car drivers around at the mo will be able to see it. Hubby is just swapping lights from MTBs to Roadies. Actually he might be mending the bed slats as I can hear hammering

Only my 2nd cup of tea today so its greatly appreciated!

Just back from the dentist. Big filling installed in a molar and no injection.:training:
Feel much better then last time as my mouth isn't numb and there won't be a foul taste in my mouth for the rest of the week.

Time for a :cuppa: in about half an hour now.

Things to fettle in a random hour after the dentist.
[Spandex, don't look!]

I had a quick rummage around and found Granville's old back wheel, the one with the Shimano three speed hub. I also found the 26" rim aluminium that I despoked for Granville's front SA drum brake. I then had a look through the piles of spokes I had to hand and found the spokes that came off from the aforementioned 26" wheel.

A little fettling later and....

A three speed hub gear rear wheel for Emily!
Granted I could only manage a 2 cross pattern with the spokes being about 2mm longer then I would like it works ok. I might see if I can stretch it enough to get it to a 3 cross but I think it might be pushing it a bit. Easy way to find out is to remove a couple of spokes and move them around a bit. to see if they reach.

I might have a look at some of the old MTB front wheels to see if there is a crappier looking rim I can use to keep Emily looking like an 'unloved' local hack. I might even find spokes that would do a 3 cross pattern at the same time.

Hello all.

Nice wheel NT!

Just got dinner on the go, need it ready by 7 when Mum rings. I'm normally home sooner, but we needed a work pub visit....
