One moment we're admiring a flock of deer (is it a flock? A lot of 'em, anyway) the next the sun'd dipped a bit lower and it's ruddy freezing.

Herd...

We've just had sausages (three types - pork and apple, pork and black pudding and beef), mash, leeks and tomato and onion sauce.

Once that's gone down, we'll have a mince pie and icecream....

Shall I keep quiet about the slow-cooked belly pork?
The best thing about it is the excellent meat : crackling ratio.
Well, that and the stonkingly good roast potatoes.
Glass or three of Beaujolais Nouveau, and an ice-cream Mars.
Now settling it down with a glass of 12 year old Caol Ila.

Stuffed after a nomalicious bowl of spag bol here. First time I've cooked in ages. The dog's sulking as the only things that ended up on the kitchen floor were the things she doesn't like.

I already share banananananas, apples and carrots with her, and give her empty yoghurt containers to lick clean. There are limits.

Not sure what's the most extreme thing I gave to the dog.
Certainly she liked the trimmings off steak or other meat, if I was neatening some up or getting bits of fat off.
And she loved cheese.
