Lots done today.

I built up another £20 Ikea chest of drawers for Arch this morning and then, after lunch, had a friend visit with some scrap timber for me to recycle.

I then went out and bought a big pile of timber and some plaster boards and shifted the whole lot up to the second floor ready to use. I have also repaired and boarded over an awkward bit of ceiling where it is all different roof slope angles and projecting steelwork. It is all coming together.

This evening I finished making a couple of heavy duty 25.4mm seat post clamps as extending trailer drawbar clamps. They work too, but I think for the next ones I will just buy some and convert to quick release.

I must have a headache due too as I have just finished off another packet of Maltesers with my :cuppa:.

Still :hyper: though so I might get some more work done!

Isn't Old St Evenage quite nice? Perhaps a whiter shade of grey......

St Evenage Old Town is quite pleasant, yes. DoctorTowers is not entirely unadjacent to the High Street, and within a few minutes ride of a scary number of pubs, restaurants and other vendors of tasty foodstuffs and inebriants  :hungry:
I used to work in Baldock and spent a little time living in Letchworth before moving to Steeple Morden. I loved the cycling around there. ^_^

Baldock - know it well, as I do Letchworth.
I went to school in Steeple Morden when I was a much younger TimeLord, and often cycle out that way. I always stop at the little WW2 memorial on the road out to Litlington. I also try to stop at the Church Hall in Ashwell for cakes on a Sunday afternoon...
You're right - there is some great cycling round here!!
