Ironically, I don't crack the whip at all, if anything I'm pulling back on the reins. Once NT gets stuck into a job, he just keeps going...
That sounds like a line from a Carry On film. Or the pantomime we went to over the weekend...

Nice Xmas thought. Keep schtumm about that £1.19.

Yeah, I'm laughing about it really. The addition of money in the card was what made it beautifully ironic! I'll enquire when I get home whether everyone else got the same problem!

It's still better than the year she included loose glitter in each envelope....

OK, laundry done, having a quick tea, then I have some mildly creative stuff to do.

* Pedant alert * I thought the expression was "If you feed a cold, you will end up having to starve a fever". I think we might need advisement from Arch on this.

No, sorry, I've always heard "Feed a cold, starve a fever", and taken it at face value. Although I can see how it could be interpreted the other way. I think part of it is that when you have a fever your appetite is suppressed anyway.

New Scientist seems to think it's right, anyway....

Ok, one mildy creative thing done. On to the next.
