Can I just chip in with the inevitable:
I saw Squeeze at Leicester Uni in 1985 when Mr Holland had got back with them. Unfortunately, a couple of days before the gig he sliced his hand on a venician blind (how rock & roll) and so Jools' younger brother was on keyboard duties. It was only a couple of years ago that I finally saw Jools Holland with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra (supported by Lulu of all people ). a damn good show.

Talking of gigs, I remember seeing the Stranglers at Kings College London in 1976 (or was it 1975)........what a cracking good gig it was. Not much was drunk that night.

I'm sure Lullabelle will have something to say on that subject

Blimey, I am going way back.... We have been scouring the interweb for a best of and the CD called Peaches seems like the 1 to go for, I much prefer their earlier stuff. That would fit quite nicely on my ipod

I spent half the afternoon trying to dig a skip lorry out of our compound, where he't got stuck on some ice. That was... fun.

But I've made it over to NT's, where we are watching Africa recorded from midweek.

It's dry here and is forecast to be (slightly) tomorrow. I'm going out on my bike for the first time in a fortnight tomorrow

I rode to work today, first time on my bike for about three weeks, thanks to various work issues, ice and flu.
