I looked on their website, and the nearest Starbucks is nearly an hour away by car. Not going to Starbucks is going to be very easy then. :thumbsup:

I have a confession to make. :blush::eek:

Elsewhere on this forum, there is talk of peeps not buying coffee* in Starbucks. I confess to not knowing the location of my nearest Starbucks, and never having been in a Starbucks. :wacko:

* I am using the word "coffee" under advisement.

Not knowing where Starbucks are located is something to be commended. They are the Tesco of the beverage industry - drive out everything and dominate at all costs.

I looked on the Starbucks website to find the nearest one, and they wanted to tell me about their cookie policy. Double chocolate ones I hope!

I have been into a Macdoodles twice. Once when some people I was working with, decided that it was the place to go. Sunday afternoon, and they had run out of coffee and doughnuts. :hyper: And once in Basle. Basle is the sort of place that restaurants that are open in the evenings, are veeeerrrryyyy expensive. I now know that all the food stalls at the station may have been open. But from the Swiss side of the station everything looked closed. I could have popped over to France for my evening meal. There may have been a third occasion in Dusseldorf, circa 1992, I can see a pattern emerging here.

Fortunately in this small town we have very few chain shops. We have a teeny weeny Boots, about the size of a tennis court, and a teeny tiny Tesco's, possibly two others, Savers, and Holland and Barrett, and a small Asda. Most shops are small independant businesses. I also found out where I can purchase watch batteries, in person. :thumbsup:

For the past few days, the occasional argument has broken out between Tasha and Leo, as to who can sit in the chair in the dining room. They could sit on the sofa, or on the footstool, which has a fleecey blanket on it, and which is was Leo's favourite place to hibernate. An entente cordiale has been reached today......:unsure:......:scratch:.........:giggle: with both of them on the same chair. :huh:

As they are both on the large side, it does not look very comfortable. I may try fail try again to post a photo later this evening next week. :scratch:

We have 2 maccy d's near us and when I/we go out for a run the smell is over powering, cheap 'meat' burger and grease xx( It improves my running speed to get away from it. We have had on occasion a KFC.

Ooohhh............ :sun: and :rain: must be a rainbow somewhere
