High tea at Betty's sounds great, what did you get?
Well, the relatives shared a high tea - some little sandwiches (I think some ham, some salmon and cream cheese), a scone and cream and jam, and three little cakes - a piece of fruit cake, a little fruit tart, and a macaroon. Served with tea. Pricy perhaps, but very very English, and NT's niece had especially wanted to have an English High Tea.
NT had Rarebit, and I had Eggs Benedict.
We looked at the Minster, many other old buildings and shops, walked a section of the walls, and went into Clifford's Tower to go up and walk round the ramparts and see the view. Rather windy and a bit cold, but sunny in parts, and not at all bad for the time of year!
They are off back to Oz, via Hong Kong, tomorrow.
