Hi Jo! :hugs:
Good to see you back again.

Thanks Rocky- hugs gratefully accepted! The odd thing is that my stress doesn't come from my work or even running a practice, it comes from the responsibility of keeping people who work for me going so that their families aren't affected- I promised myself that I would manage the fee income to always have a float so that I haven't reduced their salaries or taken away any of their benefits, but it's hard work and it's me absorbing the worry not them or my family. It's not nice having to be a grown-up! Life would be so much easier if I just looked after us, but I couldn't live with that. The more I see how fantastic Mrs A_T and my children are, the more I love them!
When my late brother and I were doing electrical contracting work in London we had 3 electricians plus our parents working for the company. The general rule was that from the income the electricians were paid first, then our folks, then me, then my brother as the boss. If there was any shortfall then it was us who had to suffer it, not those who were working to bring it in.
How is your head today NT?
Still sore.
I have a gentle throbbing that I can feel like a pulse behind my eyes. Still a little dazed noticeable from driving a bit slower today.

I've spent most of the last week sleeping, or so it seems, so haven't had a chance to do too much :hungry:. Bought some creme eggs today to make up for it. :mrpig:

Oh dear, have you been poorly, or just bone idle? ;)

While I was out this afternoon I had to stop for a ship to go pass, so I took the time to video it.

Then the bridge came back down though it stopped half way for quite a while, and then again when it was a couple of feet from being closed.

Points to Arch for recognising the music on the car stereo.^_^

Not fair, not fair, I want to see the bridge working for real...

(can only get the second vid to play, by the way.)

Mumford and Sons.;)

I'm guessing that lorry driver would be fed up, almost at the mill, probably due a tea break!
(or just left it, but I'm thinking from where you are he was heading to and not from...)

So, if you were driving the right way and the ship was going the right way, could you go on and be held up just before B and Q too, or is that a different canal?

Hmmm, I had both playing earlier. I'll check.
Plays fine here.

I am heading south and the ship is heading east so it has already gone through the other bridge.
there were a lot of vehicles going right around the roundabout and back the way they came when I got there. I was happy to join the queue, switch off and watch. It was a good 15 minutes or so and I am always surprised by the numbers of drivers who leave their engines running.

When we were collecting this morning in a cul-de-sac, there was a council pick up van sitting at the bottom of the road, two guys sitting in it, engine running, for the whole time we were there - 10 mins at least. That's where my council tax goes....

I mean, I don't mind them sitting there, they might have been waiting for something, or on a break. But turn the damn engine off!
