Mornings!

Good grief... looking at the overnight news about Cockermouth. I remember walking down that street - the one currently being shown as a deep raging torrent!

Porridge topped with fruit for brekkie today. Followed by two large mugs of TEA.

YUM.

Its Friday so I stopped by and bought some cream scones for everybody - tuck in! Jam on the side.
Brewing up - anyone want one.

I'm eshpeshully happy as I finally got my seat stem out, but the Halfords new stem was too fat to fit. Gonna drop in at my lbs with the frame to see what they've got.

;) You're not helping! Fortunately I have iron willpower at the minute. I'll take some of that tea though.

Tell us more about your bent-building plans, Doc. Are we talking full-on tube-bending and brazing here, or just spanner-wielding?

It would be tube bending and sawing.
I'm aiming to bend the front fork legs out to take a rear wheel, and bolt on the back end of a second bike to accomodate a chainset and drive train. It'll look like a Cruzbike FWD 'bent, if you've seen one of those.
I got the idea from Here and from seeing the conversion kit that Cruzbike do.

Spanner-wielding sounds like you just hit a normal bike until it looks like a recumbent...

Well, that's another week over, a relatively easy day and we had an inventing session before lunch - we're gradually improving the carrying capacity of the vehicle by dangling bags off the back, and each innovation brings a new niggle to sort out to make it all just right. Today's solution involved sawing up scrap wood, and lots of screwing...

What is the word for a particular stage in tidying up. The stage where everything looks so much more untidy than it was before you started.

I decided to start tidying the garage, so that I can get my car in later in the winter. It is now worse than before, with lots of different heaps of things that might be useful to me one day.

I did find just the right shaped piece of wood to put the Christmas tree stand on, to stop Tasha pushing the tree over, and the plunger thing for unblocking sinks, and some sunglasses.

A mess? I read a tip somewhere which said you shouldn't attempt to tidy up more stuff at once than you can tidy up in an hour.
