Hello - so what happened to the free Tetley tea bags then? I thought there were two here last night? <slurp>

Perhaps they got brewed...

We had a treat today, corned beef has for lunch, cooked on the wood burner that heats the centre. Corned beef given to us by a random little old lady. Delicious, it was.

Disaster here at Speicher Towers. No water !!!!!:eek:

Guess who tries to save electricity by not putting too much water in the kettle, and guess who has no water in kettle, in taps, etc etc.

The water board are working on the pump thingy wot has failed.

It will have to be Hot Chocolate then!

 The power of the internet. The water has just come back on after being off for three hours!

Shame I will not be able to try this on Sunday, when there is a power interuption for operational reasons, on the coldest day of the weekend.

Morning all.

A rare foray into the Tea Thread.

Just getting ready to go to Edinburgh today, meet some friends and we're all trooping into Glasgow to see Depeche Mode.:wahhey:

It's their first gig in Scotland in about 10 years and it's been sold out for months. My friends and myself have been offered some ridiculous sums of money for our tickets.

Please!

I've got a slow start today, waiting for a phone call, and then I'll have a busy afternoon shopping and baking. Was out for the works Christmas curry last night, a very late night for me, not in bed until 11.15....

I just spoke to Oli on the phone, my sister got him to say hello, and tell me what he wants Santa to bring him for Xmas. Apparently he wants a 'red con harster'.

I now know what that is, any guesses? I've promised to put in a good word with Santa if I see him....

I've been busy baking, making cookies and spicy squares. Ventured out to the shops earlier, my it was busy!

And I met Cubist and the family Cube earlier (as a result, I now have a brace of pheasants in the freezer) - jolly nice folk too!
