I got caught in a mini 5 min blizzard of hail/snow going thru the Elephant this afternoon.
It was all in a nasty headwind and almost tore my face off!
I pulled over when I couldn't actually see.

As I prepare for my luvverly hot bath I've made a list of what I have been wearing to keep me warm on the bike today........

Thermal running socks - 1 pair
Standard issue wool army socks - 1 pair
Marino wool waterproof socks - 1 pair
Cycling shoes - 1 pair
Thermal running shorts
3/4 length shorts
Long sleeve compression top
Cotton t-shirt
CC longsleeve jersey
CC Buff
Night Vision jacket

Silk inner gloves
Full finger gloves
Fingerless gloves(over top of full finger gloves)
Cap.

All I was missing was the overshoes and I have to wait until Xmas until I get my 'rain legs'.

Low fat cake. Like fun, without the fun....

Well, it's snowing sideways here. And sunny. Simultaneously.

I came in wearing: trousers and over trousers, 2 pairs of socks, trainers, two pairs of gloves, 2 buffs, teeshirt, long sleeve jersey, hoodie, padded jacket and helmet. I was boiling by the time I got to the office!

I'll put the kettle on again.

Morning all!

Frickin' freezing here, with a light dusting of snow on the side roads - made for a cautious twiddle down to the main road!
I also gained an answer to the question "Is it cold enough to wear liner gloves?"
I guessed not, but received feedback to the contrary...

I awoke to a soft and fluffy 12 inches or so.
It looked very nice, glistening in the sunlight, but I was still frozen by the time I'd walked to work.
I has a nice warming brew in hand at this very moment
