My first Audax ever. The Leap into the Aire. About 33 miles.

Smaller brother of the Spring into the Dales on the same day. I debated entering that, but I'm doing it on the trike, and wasn't convinced I was ready for 68 very hilly miles. Having done ColinJ's ride last week, I'm still not sure - I managed 60 in the same area, on the upright, but I've not really tested the trike on any proper hills yet....

Better to ease myself in gently I think.

Hmmm. Dr Who. I don't like the new plastic looking Daleks. I felt a good cast were struggling with a naff script. And the music is still crap. Is this the end?

The statues are back next week, but I'll be in Germany...

Good Oh Arch. Looks a nice one (or 2). Yes indeed - ease yourself and Tike in. Just as I am with new bike. It'll only do a few settling in rides till I get my position honed and ensure all the indexing works properly. Then watch out!

Missed Dr Who. Daughter watches but she forgot this evening so I'm guessing the iPlayer will be in action at some stage.

Where's everyone been all day!

I've had several cups of tea, intermingled with stupid hills, in my first Audax.

Was up at 5.30, so I think I'll be in bed soon....

I've been done in the Wye Valley having a reunion with some uni friends and the ever expanding brood of children. It's been glorious weather, perfect for sitting in the garden with a pot of tea.

Evening all! Back from the UK Bike Polo championships! We (meself, Dalestar and FML) came away from today with a 100% win record. (Shame about the day before, when we lost 3/3...)

I've been in South Wales!!!
Went for a walk on the Gower yesterday. Very nice indeed. I shall have to take a road bike along there sometime - I reckon the Brommie would be less-than-fun on the hills.
Also got some cycling in along the Millennium Path that runs along the coast. Must be the first time I've been along there and not dropped in at the Ski Slope cafe for tea and cakes.

You probably played against some other friends of mine from the South London lot!
Small world innit.

I was told the same a long time ago and all I did was just cut down how many mugs of tea I had per day, it was in the region of 24 cups a day at the time!

Well I have a pint mug (that's 2 "standard" mugs) and it gets used frequently. I think my minimum is 10 "standard" sizes a day. So I'm not even in your league. I will have to cut back if the advice is correct. I drink Tea cos coffee is even worse.
I think the caffiene is more available in coffee (my experience) - although experts say coffee and Tea have the same caffiene content.

Perhaps I should just eat bikkies...........
