Are you marginal?

Wow, that would be something wouldn't it, to have the whole country hanging on your vote!

Oh I think Uncle Phil is definitely marginal

I voted too now. Lots of folks at our polling station. Looks like a good turn out round this neck of the woods.

When do we get some warm weather tho'? Tea keeps me warmish but it would be nice to be able to enjoy some warm sunshine.

Morning!

*sips hot mug of fresh brew of leaves of Camellia sinensis*

I see we wake to the sky falling in and we're all about to die a horrible death before tea-time.

Porridge spiced with mixed spice, ginger & nutmeg, topped with sliced peach for brekkie. YUM.

Real porage should only be salted. Anything else is the domain of the sassenach ;)

Excuse me? Who are you calling a Sassenach? I have Celtic blood in my veins from both parents!:biggrin:!

Real porridge is made with oats, water (never milk) and then flavoured as required. One doesn't have salt as one is on a low-salt eating regime.. One flavours the oatmeal with good spices and tops with fruit - as eaten many a time in my childhood after being sent to the mill on the banks of the Devron in Aberdeenshire to collect the oats newly ground I'll have you know! In those days the fruit was often in the form of a spoonful of homemade jam and with a bit of golden syrup. YUM!

When would an election count ever be joyful?

When one doesn't face the prospect of a hard-working, long-standing local councillor being ousted by 'a malevolent Linda Snell'!!!

Hearing that description was the only LOL over the last few days...

But surely you put whisky in your porridge too

Evening all.

Been a tired day today. On the bike for 5 days in a row and I need some rest.

Been attempting to find ways of preventing my neighbour building his monstrosity of an extension which will ruin our quiet lives. And to limit the effects of said monstrosity. Straw clutching mostly. See my Legal Eagle thread in P&L.

On a happier note I did find time to buy two pairs of cycling shorts for my summer trip. And buy a load of loverly fruit and veg.

Tea?
