I made some soup today. I had bought some "mangetout" but did not like them - too much pod and not enough pea, and did not want to waste them. So with some left over base/hard bit of Chinese leaves, and two potatoes I made the soup.

Ah ha, thought I, instead of putting in some vegetable stock cubey stuff, I could use up the tiny bit of peanut butter in the bottom of the jar.

Er well it looks ok, and tastes ok, if you like peanut butter soup, with pea. Who knew that peanut butter had such a strong taste?

I am wondering if it will freeze and then could be used as a sauce for tuna in peanut sauce. Any suggestions? NB throwing it away is not a option, it tastes different but perfectly edible. It is plenty cold enough for soup at lunchtime.

Morning!

Hurrah... this may be the start of a good thing.

One of my meds has been changed in the last couple of days. Last night was the first night in months I've not been woken by coughing myself silly. One of the side-effetcs of the previous med was coughing. This *might* mean the new med is minus that side-effect.

Morning all!

(And a beautiful morning it is too!)
Good news for you Waffles, glad someone's getting some decent shut-eye!
(I suffered last night from revenge of the curry...)

Can I get anyone Tea? Today I'm staying with a Scottish and Polish family so have access to a kettle, tea bags and milk:smile:.

WC - glad you had a good night's sleep. It's not good starting the day feeling groggy.

Ta, Helen.

Tea would be good. It will round off this evening's meal of a large fillet steak and mixed salad followed by lots of fresh strawberries rather well.

*burp*

Ooh, beg pardon!

Crumbs - quiet in here today. Where has everyone gone?

My excuse is I'm knackered from too much pedalling. Some of it in the rain during the week. So today I washed those bikes and swapped saddles around as I wants my comfy Brooks on my "no mudguard" bike for the impending dash to the Med. Tomorrow it gets tested to make sure I have my position correct.

Ah - the kettle's boiled..............

Yes, may I have some Tea?

This morning was lots of e-mails, letters etc, and reading the paper.

Been for a walk this afternoon, then sat in the sun, then consumed a Chinese Takeaway. Finished off by a spot of gardening, then a shower, now comfy to watch Wallander on tv - it has been a very hectic day.
