My initial reaction's not even close, but in reality it's not too bad, and is fast becoming habitable to the point where we might be able to invite folk round for dinner!

I sat in the one at work, didn't go out in it though because it was in the barn. They have many many steps to climb up.

I am puzzled as to how they got the combine harvester upstairs.

When the combine harvester passes by the end of my garden, it looks the size of two double decker buses. His line of harvesting sometimes looks like he is going to drive straight into the garden.

I expect he wants to have a chat with a nice lady whilst supping Tea and admiring your sun lounger Speicher

Today I spent a short time attempting to scrape off that duck weed stuff from my pond. Everytime I dipped my net in not only did I drag in duck weed I also dragged in baby newts. They were rescued of course and I gave up disturbing them. Nice to know that my newts like the pond enough to raise families

So I went aweeding in the rockery instead and got attacked by ants

Oli expressed a desire to drive one at Christmas, when he got a model one as a present.

I must get a pic of me in Beryl to show him...

25x26 - which Archer do you think I'd be best at? (I'll allow you to suggest an Archer, and a non-Archer...)

If you say Lynda Snell or Vicky, you're dead.

Errm - I'm a bit out of touch there but if it's retro you want perhaps Grace Archer?

For a non-Archer Eddie Grundy? Or his dad (forgotten name) - with his "Farmer's Lung" Hoik, Spit

Plenty of costume choice there

If you like accents - Ruth Archer - wey aye man

But now I've chosen too many according to the rules...........

I'll settle for Ruth - I have a weak spot for David (or rather the chap who plays him. I remember him from By the Sword Divided when he played a dishy cavalier).

I'll practise my "oh nooooooooooooooooo"

Not sure I could carry off a Joe Grundy impression....

You know, BTW, my mother's maiden name is Grundy...

I have been given some Hollyhock seeds. Do they need any preparation, for example soaking in water? They seem to like very poor soil, and when should I sow them?

Looking a bit grey and gloomy out there. I may be dodging rain on the way to work.
I shall have a brew and contemplate my somewhat soggy state...
Tea?

Morning all! Grey and gloomy here too. Thankfully I made an early start, and made it to work just before the wet stuff started falling. Now just waiting for the canteen to open (and hopefully provide me with cheese scones)...

Emm - we have some Hollyhocks which self seed. So I suppose you could plant them now. I'm guessing water them until the monsoons hit and then forget them till they grow next year.

Or keep em safely in a paper bag in a cool (but not freezing) place and plant em up in the spring. - so that would be "Hang onto your Hollyhocks" till spring.

Now to the garden to collect some seeds and follow my own advice
