My brother gave me some onion marmelade when I was back in England last time.

I protested and said it wasn't marmelade, but chutney. We had a friendly disagreement, but neither of us would budge.

Is it a marmelade, or is it just a new, poncey, sales-gimmicky name for chutney?

I have got some Onion Marmelade, as the lady in the delicatessen suggested it for making the gravy with the turkey crown. Not got the mature cheddar tho'.

The sore throat is much better, but now I have poorly dose, and still feel very tired. Never before have I had a cold that has lasted this long, more than two weeks now. sniff

I think it's a year for lingering colds. I'd had a sort of sore throat for two weeks, only realised today it's gone...

You're better off than me, then. I've had a head cold for six weeks with no sign of it abating. I'm on the verge of completely losing my voice for the second time, accompanied by my third cough, and second blocked nose. Hopefully the headaches and sore throat won't come back just yet! xx( :cold: :cursing:

6 weeks? That is enough to drive anyone mad. Had a lovely snooze in the armchair after another 'shot' of Beechams (hic) turning into an alcoholic

Last night/this morning it was 4am at least before I fell asleep.

Pots, are you still not managing to eat chips and pies etc? ;)

Time for me to say good night - busy day tomorrow, cards to write and parcels to wrap.

Over here with the gingerbread men Ian . I'll put the kettle on. Best fumigate the cups first though with all the germs around this place.

Santa arrived this morning. New chainset and bottom brackets x2 for mine and Spandex's Ultra Galaxies. Only ordered them from Spa Cycles yesterday . Very impressive service from Royal Mail.

I haven't had a gingerbread man in years!

Best not, though. I just had a packet of crisps and I'm about to have my lunch. I find this Formosa Lapsang Souchong goes quite nicely with curry.

Ravenbait, have you given your cuddley Royal Canadian Mountie Moose a name?

I have not. Frood has just emailed me to say that the Giant Stitch with happy ears has arrived, and I think it's best that I get him settled in before introducing any more peculiar animals to the household.

However, I think the Moose looks like a Montogomery.
