Tea? (Part 2)

I like Whiskey, but only single malt, not blended. Difficult to describe, but I think the single malt has a smoother taste. I much prefer white or rosé wine, and slightly sparkling. Or a good lager - simples tastes me.

I spent hours at the back door the other day waiting for boy cat to come home when it was -5c, turned out he was curled up with his mate next door.

Anything that keeps them out of here is alright by me, this is a quiet corner where nothing more serious than a lack of mince pies or what brand of tea is best is discussed

I am cooking the Turkey. Just had hot mince pies with ice cream. Now watching a very silly, but enjoyable* film called "Single Santa Seeks Mrs Claus". Got some fruit juice in the fridge to dilute the gin later.

* some people would find this film far too girly and romantic and slushy, but as it is Christmas Eve.

Potsy - you forgot to tell me to put the potatoes in the oven. The turkey is timed to be ready for 6pm. and the roasties are not ready yet. I am guessing I will need to put the foil back over the turkey crown.

I put pancetta (sp?) over the top of the turkey crown, but it fell off when I moved the turkey to lift it out of all the fatty juices. Do birdies like bacon? It looks very fatty, not what I would normally eat.

Orange juice and gin was an excellent suggestion of yours. I can still taste a smidgeon of the gin, but the taste is more subtle.

The food sounds lovely too, fattier the better it is Christmas after all

Just bought the cats a new bed, big, fleecey and soft, plenty of room for them both without falling out(with each other) not literally. Will put a pic up once they are asleep in it. They are currently sulking after I tried to force a worming tablet down their throats earlier with no success whatsoever
