Thank you. It does not hurt very much but is swollen, and was bent at a funny angle. Splint may need to be in place for six weeks.

Aww that's not your nose picking finger is it?

I'm sure a biscuit and cup of tea will make the pain go away, get well soon.

That was a cold ride home, thankfully no icy patches as I stuck to the main roads, am now having a can of Diet Pepsi before bed, probably not a great idea.

Aw poor you Speicher. I do hope it sorts itself out soon.

But I couldn't help wondering how you did it (I knooooow you said ladder collision) but middle finger leaves me to suspect a "signalling" injury

In any case I've just baked some cakes for the hungry riders on Sunday - here have a bit. It's my special Quince cake if you don't recognise the flavour.

The x ray revealed that I have snapped or broked the tendon on the joint of the finger. No fracture of the bone.

It is swollen and twisted, so I will have to wear a splint for six weeks, to keep the finger straight at all times.
It is surprising what proves difficult, like tying shoe laces. It is not very painful. I did not sleep well last night. I feel fuzzy-headed sort of, but that could be the lingering virus. At the time, I thought I had done more damage. It is a very minor injury. Very pleased that last night and again this morning, there was very little time spent waiting in Hospital. Also it was the same member of staff on duty both times.

26by25 - it is the finger next to the little finger of my left hand. The nurse said just carry on doing things as normal.
I do not think that includes washing up or making tea. ;)

As it still feels like breakfast time to me I shall be stuffing my face with bacon and scrambled egg soon

Goes nicely with a big mug of Yorkshire tea.

I went back to bed for a few hours, just got up. :tired: The other name for my injury is Baseball finger, which I prefer to mallet finger.

You will all be pleased to know, at least I hope you will, that I can still type (with six fingers), just not so quickly and not so accurately. In a few days I might see if I can drive.

I can now see unseasonal wol, the friendly one.

Quince cake? Oooh, that sounds lovely, I like quince. Well, I like quince jelly.

What I don't like, is sleet. Guess what it did all day today.

Tea anyone?
