Potsy, I will be asking Night Train if he would like some scones with butter and jam, after you have gone to bed. ;)

Thank you Arch, for your sympathy. It is aching and feels hot and itchy.

I see Arch hasn't been offered a scon/scone and she's not taken the mickey

I am trying to watch the Indiana Jones film, but struggling to follow the plot.

You are wrong if you think scones keep overnight. ;)

Ah, you don't follow the plot, you just enjoy Harrison Ford.

I dunno how many times I've seen that film, but tonight was the first time I found I had a lump in my throat when the children returned to the village...

Geting soppy in my old age.

I was just looking around for something to eat and I found some scones in the freezer. They shouldn't be in there, they will be cold and hard. Best take them out and make use of them. I'll defrost them over the kettle while it is boiling. There might even be some jam somewhere...

It wasn't that bad!

I have only just opened a new bag of Lapsang Souchong (pray allow me to recommend London's Algerian Coffee Store). An acquired taste, I'm told, but I've always liked it.

Our kettle has started acting in an irregular manner, requiring a sharp biff to start working after flicking its switch (I'm sure there's something rude and slacious to be had from that line). We may need a new one.
