Oh yes, ;)

Helen, I am sure that we can let you back in here.

Though it may take a lot of grovelling and offers of cake

Just been over to my favourite supermarket, is there a shortage of checkout staff in the UK? Every till had 3 or 4 people queuing at it, the only ones not busy were the god awful 'self checkouts' which I refuse to use on principal.
Got myself some healthy fruit and some not so healthy crisps( plus more Pepsi Max) amongst over essentials, feel like I am back on track now, appetite has returned to normal after the holiday pig out sessions.

Never drink instant, except at work. And even then I prefer to use a filter machine if there is one. At home we grind the beans and use a stovetop expresso maker, which we usually mix with hot milk, half and half. Sometimes I have it black, but not often except at work. Work coffee is always black. Tea is for girls and ponces.

Think one of Helen's friends on the c*f*e* thread won't be visiting us tea folk any time soon

Hmmm, now there's a thought!
:cold: Bit cold though.

I don't think anyone would want to pose until the spring at least....

I don't think it'll happen - while I'd be up for it, I don't know that many others would...

We had chips for lunch! And fish. And 'scraps'. Rather too many really, I can still feel the grease in my veins...

By rights, I shouldn't need a proper dinner. But I think I will want one!

Tea?

I recently discovered that the famous Wetwang chippie has opened a branch on Hull Road. The portions of chips were enormous!

That's where we got them from. I had a 'small' fish, which was just right for me, and half a 'large' portion of chips, again ideal.

Trouble is, after that you don't feel very inclined to go back out to work!
