Very cold here today. :cold: I could do with some mittens. My gloves are not big enough for my injured finger.

Can you not use an old glove and cut two fingers out if it? Or knit yourself one (all girlies can knit right?)

Yes, I can knit, but not with just one and a half hands. By the time I finished, it would be summer.

Cut two fingers out, I do not see how that would help. I suppose I could use a spare (clean) thick red sock.

Didn't really think that through did I?

Surely any coloured sock will do? Wear the pair though one on each hand, you'll look a right loon

how about a glove puppet?

It is very late, and you have been working very hard. I have some very bright red thick socks that would do. I could turn over the top of the sock before putting them on, then they would look like mittens with a thick cuff. I am not sure why mismatched "gloves" would make me look like a loon.

A glove puppet, I think I have a Sooty (or is it Sweep) glove puppet somewhere, do you think that would make me look less of a loon? On second thoughts, do not answer that.

i wouldn't go that far

I'm sure whatever you wear you can carry it off, I personally like to pull my sleeves down over my hands if I am out without gloves (or pockets) though that might be tricky too with the splint on

In fact ignore any of my advice I am light headed from lack of food and not thinking straight

Bit quiet in here today.

I'll make a brew.

Someone will detect fresh Tea and turn up.

What are these crusts doing here? Looks like some bits of ham stuck on too. Whoever it is that doesn't eat their crusts won't grow up to be a big strong someone (according to mothers everywhere).

The finger is not too bad, but it is very inconvenient to have a splinted finger. I struggle to do up my shoelaces, and as I wrote in the conversation with Potsy above, I cannot find a glove to fit. This is the second week of wearing the splint, there is at least another month to go.

Oh poor you. That is a long old time.

Have you tried Mitts? You know the Gloves that only have Thumbs? Mrs 26x25 prefers them as having her fingers seperated in "normal" gloves results in her hands being cold.

How do you, Ahem, pick clean your nose? I assume Tea drinking is unaffected........

Evening all. Any tea on the go?

I went for a drink after work, and then a takeaway, and once I'd eaten that, I needed a nap.

Now, I need some tea and another nap to recover from that.

Can't beat a good old power nap Arch, though I don't need any on late shift as I don't get up til 10 or 11am

Lasagne and garlic bread for tea, and as Tesco have put the pepsi max back to full price I am now drinking Diet Irn Bru.
Is Speicher still 'milking' that sore finger? I bet there's been no shortage of tea drinking in Mr Benn land, where there's a will there's a way
