Morning all. I'm off to learn about Maximus fettling today, just got a message to say the chap isn't there until 10, so not to hurry.... Going to be an odd week, just one day at St Nicks, then one at Velo Vision and then off to the SPEZI show on Friday....

It doesn't look very fettled. Your mechanic's not very good . Maybe it would have helped if you'd made him drink tea rather than coffee.

I was high by the time I got home, all that coffee!

There was plenty of fettling, it's got half a new axle, two new bearings, a new front wheel and headset, bled brakes, and a new gear cable. And I've got one very tiny shrapnel wound.

Ok, it does still have the giraffe paintjob.

Yes, I was at the baker's today, for doughnut. The weather has been very sunny here. So I washed the car, cleaned the garden gate, planted some plants, watered the new plants. Emptied the tiny bit of water at the bottom of the water butt, cleaned it out, and tidied my desk. (Thereby earning the doughnut.)

Need to sit down now. Also the steam-powered puter is working as slow as a slow thing on a slow day. Waiting for the postman to deliver the cable that will "mend" the laptop.

Still stuck in the house, I've drunk 4 pints of milk today thanks to hot chocolates and milky coffees, as well as the requisite tea.

Still, done an online Sainsburys order and am now awaiting more chocolate than will be good for my bike frame once I'm back on the road.

Turns out Sainsbugs does extra super huge bags of Minstrels. Which were on offer so also got an equally huge bag of Maltesers.


And a proper lard arse bar of Dairy Milk.


And maybe some more ice cream......

My brother has a hot-chocolate speciality: a large mug of boiled (full) milk into which you place a Cadbury's flake (just the one, Speich!) and let it melt.
